I can't believe Gwyneth has already been in our family for 3 months! It really feels like just yesterday I was finding out I was pregnant.

This month had a lot of firsts. She celebrated her first St. Patrick's day, which really didn't involve much other than wearing green and recovering from her immunizations. There were lots of naps that day, which allowed me to get a lot of things done around the house.
She also celebrated her first Easter. There was a little basket for her with a pink bunny from Uncle David, and some little books from Grandma & PaPa Triebold. I loved being able to dress her up in a cute Easter dress and Lucas in a bow tie and suspenders (both picked out by Aunt Michelle). They looked so adorable. We went to church in the morning, and spent the rest of the day relaxing.

| Easter Sunday |
Two more firsts happened on Easter Sunday: one in the form of Daniel leaving for the first time since Gwen was born. It was only for a couple days, but I was a bit worried since I was fighting a miserable cold. It is one thing taking care of both of the kids when I am 100% healthy, but another when I am feeling like death. We all survived, but we probably watched a bit more TV than recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Gwen also started rolling over from her belly to her back! Of course she waited to do that milestone until Daniel left for the airport, but she's been consistently rolling over since. It was hilarious to see her refuse to roll over whenever Daniel was home and cheering her on, but as soon as he'd leave the room or go to work, she'd roll over immediately. I think she just knew if she complained enough, Daddy would pick her up.
Gwyneth also caught her first cold this past month. I am honestly surprised we made it two months without anyone getting sick; it was certainly a blessing. Unfortunately, this cold has lingered for a few weeks, so we are all ready to be a healthy family again. Lucas ended up with an ear infection and pink eye as a result of the cold, so we are trying hard to keep him away from Gwen so she doesn't end up with any sort of infection (especially since pink eye is super contagious). It's definitely difficult because Lucas adores his sister and wants to play with her all the time. We are hoping the crud is finally on its way out of our house and we can welcome the rest of spring and summer by staying completely healthy.
We had our first visit from Aunt Teresa, Uncle Ryan, and baby Nathan. I was especially excited since I hadn't met Nathan at all since he was born. Gwyneth was able to tour Seattle with us all for the first time when they flew in, and she exceeded my expectations on how she would handle so much traveling and walking. She did get fussy towards the end of our drive home, so we had to stop at a gas station to calm her down. Overall, though, having to stop one time in a 4 hour roundtrip drive is really impressive... especially, with a baby who hates her car seat and usually screams her lungs out on the short trip to church!

While Aunt Teresa and her family were here, we went to the Tulip Festival in Sagit Valley. Oh, my goodness! They were so beautiful. Initially, we were afraid we were going to be stuck in rainy, cold weather, but by the time we got on the road to see the tulips, the sun was shining. It was still pretty cold & windy, but we were able to tour the grounds without getting wet. Gwen was not as happy with this trip. I think she was just done with all the traveling from the day before, so when I put her in the Ergo carrier, she immediately started screaming... and did not stop until we were on our way home.

I am so happy she fits in the Ergo carrier, now. Gwen was really not a fan of the Moby Wrap, so when I saw she met the weight and head control requirements for the Ergo, I immediately pulled it out of storage and clipped her in. We've gone on more walks around the neighborhood as a result. The nicer weather also helps get us out and about, but the Ergo makes for an easier walk with Gwen.

I also believe we have begun teething. I remember Lucas started early as well, so when Gwyneth started gnawing on her hands and drooling like crazy, I had a feeling it was time to get an amber teething necklace for her. Now, I don't know if the necklace really takes away the pain of teething; it's not like Gwen was really cranky before I put it on her, but it's adorable either way. If it helps, yay, but it definitely isn't hurting her.
We are really enjoying seeing her personality start to develop. She is so funny when she wakes up in the morning. Daniel says she looks just like me when I wake up: grouchy. It takes her a good long while to really be able to interact with us, but once she's fully awake, she is all smiles. She also thinks her big brother is just hilarious, and as soon as she hears his voice she starts looking for him. She is definitely a girl who knows what she likes, and when she is tired or over-stimulated, she lets us know.

We can't wait to see how she grows and develops over the next month, so until then, ta ta!
